Can't say my body is tolerating the heat here in Tucson. Up the road, Phoenix is even hotter. And I haven't had the normal (for me) time to acclimate to warmer weather that I have in Dallas. This trip has put me through some radical changes in climate in a short period. I've been picked up out of the frying pan and thrown into the gaping maw of Hades. (Oh, my God! It's global warming!!!)
I kid, of course. A bit. About the global warming thing.
Unfortunately, for me and my portfolio. I think I've had just about all I can take of the triple-digit temps. I used to tolerate it so much better. The vagaries of getting older, I guess. I may run on up to Phoenix, find a hotel room, and sleep until the crack of 4am. That's the part that's just as difficult as tolerating the high temperatures. Getting to bed early so I can get OUT of bed early. Damn you Poor Richard! And your Almanac, too!
I have no idea what I should or would want to photograph in Phoenix. You may be getting this by now but for clarity's sake — doing what I do on the spur of the moment is, for me, amazingly uncomfortable. Why? Wish I knew. But it is.
I'm doing it anyway, though. If you hear me complain, it's only because it's scary.
Okay, I'm off to do some research so I don't turn up empty-handed tomorrow.
