After reading reports of UnderArmour’s misbegotten attempt to go “woke” and make attendance mandatory at “training” sessions for all white employees in order to chastise, belittle, and demand repentance their “privilege,” “racism,” and “whiteness," I decided to contact UnderArmour to let them know that I would no longer be doing business with them until they change their ways.
This is the letter I sent to “mailto: mediarelations@underarmour.com”. I encourage you to do the same. Feel free to use my text as a template — in whole or in part, changing whatever you like to suit your own thoughts on the matter.
Also, let me know if you actually get a response out of them. I’ll publish it here for everyone to read.
Dear UnderArmour,
It's come to my attention that you have begun requiring white employees to attend “training” sessions that focus on their race and how they are “privileged” and “racist.”
As a white man, I am not only deeply offended that you would do this to your employees but am anger to my core that you take the money that I’ve given to you for your products to use it for such blatantly racist and incorrigible company activities. Completely unforgivable!
Why not simply execute your employees for being racist and “hateful?” Go ahead, get rid of all of your white employees. Kill them. Or, at the very least, FIRE them for being white.
But before you do that, put the shoe on the other foot. Make your black employees and other employees of color sit through the same training but with the races reversed. NOW, who’s the racist?!?
Stop this nonsense at once or you will never enjoy the “privilege” of my “white” money again. I’d rather buy my athletic products from a company that isn’t so blatantly racist, like UnderArmour. In fact, I’d rather buy inferior products than buy anything from UnderArmour, which has become synonymous with racism.
