Days End at Graceland

Fell asleep before we could post this last night.

Long day. Even with a late start.

Shot some B-roll on Beale St. in Memphis. What an electric downtown. Talked to a couple of cops on duty and though we didn’t record them, they had some interesting things to say about the city government. More on that when we’re not so tired.

Then, on to Days Inn at Graceland. It has not been our best hotel experience ever. With "The King" watching over us while we slept, we did, however, feel strangely safe.

Tomorrow, we shoot at Rendezvous Barbecue and, if we have time, the Arcade Restaurant, Memphis oldest restaurant. We really hope tomorrow’s schedule works out so we can do both. We’ve been offered the “Elvis Booth.” You guessed it. The King would often come in and sit in the booth closest to the back door — for a quick getaway.

After shooting tomorrow, we’re going to make a 3-½ hour drive to Nashville. So we don’t fall asleep at the wheel, we’re trundling off to bed.

Nite-nite!
