For the past several months, starting in the last days of winter of early 2015, we have been producing a short-form audio program that runs on RioandReyes.com on a weekly basis. You may have listened to it, either on their website or here on ours.

When we started out, it became necessary to give the show a home on the Internet so listeners could hear the show, search through our archives (as we built them), and have a place to share the show with their friends.

The site you're on right now, the portfolio site for our photography and art, has served that purpose admirably. But it was never supposed to be a permanent home for Musical Notes.

The show has grown into something more. . . bigger and better than what we had initially thought possible. And because of that, it's time to kick it out of the nest and let it take wing.

On December 31st, Musical Notes will come to an end. In its place, on January 1st, we'll launch both a new show and a new brand. We call it The SRO Show — Where it's always Standing Room Only. And we've given it a new address, too: SRO.Show. It's much easier to remember. . . and type.

We have a number of very cool features that we're working on for you. In the vernacular of web design, it's "responsive." That means you can take it with you on any device and it'll look fantastic.

In addition to listening to the show on the SRO.Show website, we're flipping a switch and turning it into a podcast. When we go live on January 1st, you'll be able to subscribe to the podcast in iTunes and other "aggregators" and have each new show automatically download so it's ready for you when you want to listen to it. 

We also are planning to add features to the Show Notes that will expand it into a multimedia "platform." Details on that will have to wait a bit. But it's very exciting and we know you'll love it.

We're working hard on new shows, too. Expect shows on Madonna, Janet Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, Blood, Sweat, & Tears, Ann Wilson, Chicago and more. And that's just the first two months of 2016.

Join us as we make this transition from a simple audio program to a multimedia empire. We can't wait for New Year's Day.
