Alpine, Texas Artwalk | 2011

Every year in November, the West Texas town of Alpine in Brewster County — home of Sul Ross University — celebrates the galleries and artists in the area as well as those who make it a point to visit during the Alpine, Texas Artwalk. There is a parade and the sidewalks fill with people strolling from gallery to hotel to food vendors of all stripes. The flavor is definitely small town, casual, familiar, and very friendly. If you're ever within a few hours drive of Alpine in Novermber, you should make it a point to visit this very liveable — very Texas — town.
