I haven’t told a lot of people but yesterday — Nov. 1st — was our first day of business. And we ROCKED IT!

I’ve recently invested in a local East Dallas / Lakewood institution — Benny’s Bagels Lakewood. The best New York-style bagels in Dallas! The crew, Ruben Gomez (the new owner and longtime manager), Pancho, Priscilla, Benito, and Juan, are the best in the business. They put a lot of love into all our bagels.

We’re at 1901 Skillman, just north of Live Oak in East Dallas. The bagels are always fresh, the coffee is hot, and our fantastic crew will make you feel right at home. If you’ve never tried Benny’s, come in, order a bagel, and your coffee’s on Benny’s.

I’ve been a regular at Benny’s for the past several years and love their Pacific Salmon on an Everything bagel (my personal favorite). It’s an open face bagel, with 2 oz. of salmon, a schmear of cream cheese, capers, tomato and red onion. I loved it so much I wanted to be part of the team!

For me, it is the PERFECT food… a party in my mouth, as they say. It may be your favorite, too. But if it’s not, we have plenty of items that could be. Like our REAL McCOY, with smoked turkey, ham or roast beef with cream cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion. Or the French Dip. Or, maybe, you’d prefer a wrap — like our California Club Wrap. It’s de-lish!
